He watched the final round of matches from a special turf-level suite at Medinah Country Club near Chicago. His high-profile appearance immediately generated a highly polarized and passionate reaction from the massive golf gallery.
As he walked toward the first tee box, a large majority of spectators erupted into loud cheers. Many enthusiastic fans quickly initiated thunderous chants of “USA!” to warmly welcome the former president to the course. Conversely, a few scattered boos and jeers were also heard coming from certain sections of the grandstands.
The minor negative feedback was ultimately completely drowned out by the dominant, supportive cheers of the crowd.

He further noted that PGA Tour chief Brian Rolapp had personally asked him to deliver a speech. “I said, ‘No, I don’t have the courage to make a speech,’” Trump playfully confessed to the gallery.
Consequently, the president kept his public remarks to under 30 seconds before turning the focus back to the tournament. He wrapped up by telling the international teams to go out there and play their hearts out.
