Kim Kardashian<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0has no more bad blood with\u00a0Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

In fact, she may just be a Swiftie.\u00a0After\u00a0sister\u00a0Khloe Kardashian<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0asked the SKIMS founder whether she thinks people will be shocked to know that she bumps the \u201cAnti-Hero\u201d hitmaker\u2019s songs in her free time, Kim made it clear that she has nothing but respect for Taylor.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have some of her older songs in my playlist,\u201d Kim, 44, said on the Jan. 21 episode of\u00a0the\u00a0Khloe in Wonder Land<\/a><\/em>\u00a0<\/em>podcast. \u201cI’ve always thought she’s like a super talented, great artist.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for why she\u2019s drawn to Taylor\u2019s earlier tracks, the Kardashians\u00a0<\/em>star, mom to\u00a0North West<\/strong>, 12,\u00a0Saint West<\/strong>, 10,\u00a0Chicago West<\/strong>, 8, and\u00a0Psalm West<\/strong>, 6, with ex Kanye West<\/strong><\/a>, added, \u201cI love country music.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, the road to being at peace with Taylor\u2014at least in music form\u2014has been long. Though Taylor and Kanye\u2019s rocky relationship dates back to the infamous MTV VMAs incident of 2009, it escalated in 2016 when Kim posted footage from a phone call between her then-husband and Taylor, claiming that the \u201cFate of Ophelia\u201d singer approved explicit lyrics from the Yeezy founder\u2019s 2016 hit \u201cFamous.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

In the phone call, it sounds like Taylor gives the okay to the lines “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex \/ Why? I made that b—h famous,” a point Taylor has refuted, arguing she’d never\u00a0heard the song\u00a0and its NSFW lyrics\u00a0in full. (A video detailing the entire phone conversation<\/a>\u00a0was released\u00a0four years later, confirming Taylor\u2019s allegation that the 2016 leak was edited down to be true.)<\/p>\n

Upon the release of the full call between Taylor and Kanye, Kim\u2014who split with the rapper in 2021\u2014set out to clear her own name.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

“@taylorswift13 has chosen to reignite an old exchange,\u201d Kim wrote on X in March 2020, \u201cthat at this point in time feels very self-serving given the suffering millions of real victims are facing right now. I didn’t feel the need to comment a few days ago, and I’m actually really embarrassed and mortified to be doing it right now, but because she continues to speak on it, I feel I’m left without a choice but to respond because she is actually lying.”<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cTo be clear, the only issue I ever had around the situation was that Taylor lied through her publicist who stated that ‘Kanye never called to ask for permission…\u2019\u00a0They clearly spoke so I let you all see that. Nobody ever denied the word ‘bitch’ was used without her permission.”<\/p>\n

But Taylor\u2014who is engaged to\u00a0Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a>\u2014felt that the damage to her reputation had been done,\u00a0previously sharing insight into\u00a0the dark period of her life.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

“You have a fully manufactured frame job, in an illegally recorded phone call, which Kim Kardashian edited and then put out to say to everyone that I was a liar,” she told\u00a0TIME<\/a><\/em>\u00a0in December 2023. “That took me down psychologically to a place I’ve never been before.”<\/p>\n

“I moved to a foreign country,\u201d she continued. \u201cI didn’t leave a rental house for a year. I was afraid to get on phone calls. I pushed away most people in my life because I didn’t trust anyone anymore. I went down really, really hard.”<\/p>\n

At the time, the Grammy winner thought the scandal to be the end of her music career, adding, \u201cMake no mistake\u2014my career was taken away from me.”<\/p>\n
