Wilson\u2019s son,\u00a0Demond Wilson Jr.<\/b>, confirmed to\u00a0TMZ<\/a><\/em>\u00a0that the actor was pronounced dead Friday morning at his home in\u00a0Palm Springs<\/b>. He passed away due to complications related to cancer, though the specific type was not disclosed.<\/p>\n

Born in Valdosta, Georgia, Wilson was raised in New York City, where he developed an early interest in acting and performance.
