The FBI has issued an update on Nancy Guthrie following a statement from Trump that he would be using all federal law enforcement at his disposal to find her. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The mother<\/a> of TODAY co-anchor Savannah Guthrie<\/a> is still considered missing after she failed to show up to church<\/a> almost a week ago on February 1.<\/p>\n

The authorities said the 84 year-old Nancy Guthrie disappeared under \u2018concerning circumstances\u2019 and have launched an investigation<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At this point, the Pima County Sheriff\u2019s Office has said they are treating her home in Catalina Foothills, Tucson, Arizona, as an \u2018active crime scene\u2019 – adding that it does not appear that she \u2018willingly\u2019 left the premises.<\/p>\n

On February 5, Trump<\/a> gave an update on Truth Social about the situation.<\/p>\n

He said he had spoken to Savannah and \u2018let her know that I am directing ALL Federal Law Enforcement to be at the family\u2019s, and Local Law Enforcement\u2019s, complete disposal, IMMEDIATELY’.<\/p>\n

Authorities believe Nancy was abducted from her home a week ago <\/cite><\/div>\n

He added: \u201cWe are deploying all resources to get her mother home safely. The prayers of our Nation are with her and her family.<\/p>\n

\u201cGOD BLESS AND PROTECT NANCY! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP.\u201d<\/p>\n

On February 6, the FBI acknowledged that there is a new message that has been sent out that they are investigating.<\/p>\n

This follows on from reports of alleged ransom notes<\/a> sent to TMZ and CBS affiliate KOLD-TV demanding Bitcoin for Nancy\u2019s safe return.<\/p>\n

The statement read: \u201cThe FBI and Pima County Sheriff\u2019s Department are aware of a new message regarding Nancy Guthrie.<\/p>\n

\u201cInvestigators are actively inspecting the information provided in the message for its authenticity.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile this is one new piece of information, the FBI and the Pima County Sheriff\u2019s Department are still asking anyone with tips to contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI. The FBI continues to offer a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the recovery of Nancy Guthrie and\/or the arrest and conviction of anyone involved in her disappearance.\u201d<\/p>\n

KOLD News\/News 13 confirmed that it received the new message earlier in the day on February 6.<\/p>\n

However, the outlet added that they would not be releasing details out of respect to the family.<\/p>\n

News 13 added: \u201cThe new note contains information the senders seem to think will prove to investigators they\u2019re the same people who sent the first note.\u201d<\/p>\n

An FBI spokesperson spoke to People and said on the same day they, and evidence recovery teams, had showed up at Nancy\u2019s home looking for clues.<\/p>\n

They told the outlet: \u201cWe are back at the house again as part of customary investigation follow up.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were planning on getting back to the house today even before that message came in.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
