Turning Point USA is set to hold an alternative performance to rival this year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show.<\/p>\n

The All-American Halftime Show announced last year that it would be hosting the performance on the night of the\u00a0NFL Super Bowl<\/a>, which falls on 8 February.<\/p>\n

The New England Patriots<\/a>\u00a0will be facing off against the Seattle Seahawks and as per tradition, there’s set to be a star-studded halftime show with\u00a0acts<\/a>\u00a0including Green Day, Charlie Puth, Brandi Carlile, Coco Jones and Bad Bunny, who is headlining on the night.<\/p>\n

Turning Point USA, which was founded by the late\u00a0Charlie Kirk<\/a>, announced they would be holding the alternative gig after backlash from Republicans over\u00a0Bad Bunny<\/a>\u00a0headlining the show, with people claiming him to be a ‘Trump hater’, while others criticised his Spanish music.<\/p>\n

As per the New York Post, Bad Bunny, real name Benito Antonio Mart\u00ednez Ocasio, has\u00a0been openly critical of Trump<\/a>\u00a0– but as we know, he’s not the only one.<\/p>\n

Last year, he released a song called ‘Nuevayol’, which featured an imitated Trump voice saying: “I want to apologise to the immigrants in America… This country is nothing without the immigrants. This country is nothing without Mexicans, Dominicans, Puerto Ricans, Colombians, Venezuelans, Cubans.”<\/p>\n

The Puerto Rican star made history this weekend when his album\u00a0Deb\u00ed Tirar M\u00e1s Fotos<\/em>\u00a0became the first ever Spanish-language Album of the Year at the\u00a0Grammys<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In his acceptance speech, he said in English: \u201cI want to dedicate this award to all the people that had to leave their homeland, their country, to follow their dreams.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before adding in Spanish: \u201cTo all the people who have lost a loved one and, even so, have had to move forward, and continue with great strength, this award is for you.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you for so much love, I love you all.<\/p>\n

“To all the Latinos in the entire world and to all the artists who came before and who deserved to be on this stage receiving this award, thank you very much.\u201d<\/p>\n

After Turning Point USA announced the show, they included a link to a website, where users could answer questions about the event.<\/p>\n

One question asked: \u201cWhat music genres would you like to see featured?\u201d<\/p>\n

Response options included Anything in English, Americana, Classic Rock, Country, Hip Hop, Pop and Worship.<\/p>\n

They have since confirmed that artists set to perform include Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett.<\/p>\n

While it’s not currently known where the event will take place, it’s believed to occur around the same time as the halftime show and will be broadcast on Charge!, DailyWire+, TBN and Real America\u2019s Voice, as well as Turning Point USA’s\u00a0social media<\/a>.<\/p>\n

When asked about the Super Bowl and Halftime Show, Trump said he would not be attending.<\/p>\n

Of the performers, he told the\u00a0New York Post<\/a>: \u201cI\u2019m anti-them. I think it\u2019s a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s just too far away. I would. I\u2019ve [gotten] great hands [at] the Super Bowl. They like me.<\/p>\n
