The Minnesota Vikings offseason will start to heat up over the coming days, as the entire NFL converges on Indianapolis for the 2026 NFL scouting combine<\/a>.<\/p>\n Unfortunately, the league\u2019s ballyhood annual event will take place with a very dark cloud hanging over it, after news broke Saturday night that Vikings wide receiver Rondale Moore has reportedly committed suicide.<\/p>\n According to local FOX 9 reporter Ahmad Hicks<\/a>, Moore was found dead Saturday in a garage in New Albany, Indiana \u2014 just 1 hour and 45 minutes south of Indy \u2014 of a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound.<\/p>\n Moore \u2014 who was signed by Minnesota last offseason before he suffered a season-ending knee injury<\/a> during the 2025 Vikings preseason \u2014 was just 25 years old.<\/p>\n According to the New Albany police chief, Todd Bailey.<\/p>\n Rondale Moore (age 25) was found deceased in the garage of the property of a suspected self-inflicted gunshot wound.<\/p>\n An investigation is underway. https:\/\/t.co\/xydJyfDw1J<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 Ahmad Hicks (@AhmadHicksTV) February 22, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Selected 49th overall<\/a> in the 2021 Draft by the Cardinals, the former Purdue superstar played three years in the desert, catching 135 passes for 1,201 yards and 3 touchdowns.<\/p>\n After becoming a free agent in 2024, he signed with the Atlanta Falcons. Shortly after, he tore his ACL and was forced to sit out the entire season. One year later, he signed<\/a> with the Vikings and tore his other ACL.<\/p>\n Per Hicks<\/a>, an investigation has been launched into exactly what happened with Moore this weekend.
