One New England Patriots<\/a> fan did not get to see out Sunday\u2019s Wild Card game against the Los Angeles Chargers<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The tweet below shows four policemen carrying the fan out, refusing to let him stay on his feet. It appears their manner of extraction was necessary as the supporter still made things difficult while being hauled away.<\/p>\n

The Patriots<\/a>, who came into the game as favorites, made a defensive stand at home, winning 16-3. Head coach Mike Vrabel earned himself a bloody face<\/a> during a celebration gone wrong.<\/p>\n

The playoff matchup featured two of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL<\/a> in Drake<\/a> Maye and Justin Herbert. But it was the defense that got the job done for the Pats on the day.<\/p>\n

The Patriots went into halftime with a 6-3 lead and went scoreless in the third quarter. While their defense limited Herbert to 159 yards, sacking him five times, they found it hard to get into the end zone themselves.<\/p>\n

Maye fumbled the ball twice, losing possession on one of them, but made big plays using his feet to the tune of 66 yards on the ground.<\/p>\n

Rhamondre Stevenson added 53 rushing yards, also leading the team in receiving yards with 75.<\/p>\n

Maye didn\u2019t engineer the game\u2019s first touchdown until the fourth quarter. The second-year QB dropped a deep ball for tight end Hunter Henry, who completed a 28-yard score.<\/p>\n

Herbert, meanwhile, was hardly shown an open target and was limited to holding the ball.<\/p>\n

Maye was full of praise for the defensive unit after the win.<\/p>\n

\u201cWasn\u2019t pretty, that\u2019s for sure,\u201d<\/em><\/strong> he said. \u201cBut this defense was so fun to watch. Congrats to them. It was so fun to watch. They won the game for us. I didn\u2019t throw very well tonight. Need to be better. We did what we had to do.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
