Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix fractured his right ankle on the second-to-last play of overtime. It would end his season, Sean Payton reported after the game.
Nix led the Broncos to a thrilling overtime win over the Bills. He completed 26 of his 46 passes for 279 yards, along with three touchdowns, per the box score. He suffered the injury on the second-to-last play of the game. We are now seeing that play where Nix got hurt.
It shows Nix doing a simple kneel-down to set up the game-winning field goal. He is set for surgery in the coming days.

Jarrett Stidham will now be tasked with trying to lead the Broncos to the Super Bowl. The 29-year-old is a seventh-year quarterback who has been a backup in Denver since 2023. He started the final two games after Russell Wilson was benched, and Denver went 1-1 in those contests.
In two starts with the Broncos, Stidham completed 60.6% of his passes for 496 yards with two touchdowns. He had one interception. Bo Nix might not even be able to attend the game to cheer his team onto victory.
