Young Footballer Dies After Months of Mystery Illness

A young Romanian footballer, Luca Manolache, has died at the age of 19 after struggling with a mystery illness for several months.

Manolache, who played for Metaloglobus București, had not appeared in a match since August 2024. Reports say he had been suffering from symptoms including tiredness, dizziness, chills, and moments of vision loss.

His condition reportedly became worse on February 28, when he felt seriously unwell while away from home. Emergency services were called, and he was taken to hospital.

According to reports, doctors had previously carried out several tests, but the cause of his health problems remained unclear. His sudden death has deeply shocked his family, teammates, and club.

Metaloglobus București later paid tribute to the young player, remembering his love for football and the happiness he brought to the pitch.

His passing has left the Romanian football community in mourning.
