Skip Bayless is gone from Fox Sports, but you wouldn’t know it if you watched his final show on Friday because it was never addressed.

Bayless would later announce on X, formerly Twitter, that he is officially leaving FS1 to pursue other opportunities.

“Today was my last show on ‘Undisputed,’” Bayless wrote. “I’m leaving FS1. I’ve been planning to pursue other opportunities for several months. I had a great eight-year run with a lot of great people at FOX, but now I’m excited for what’s coming up. Stay tuned.”

According to a report from Michael McCarthy of Front Office Sports, Skip Bayless chose not to address his departure from the network because he was unhappy that he was being pushed out while also blaming Fox Sports executives for Shannon Sharpe’s departure.

Skip Bayless Hadn’t Been The Same Since Shannon Sharpe Left

Skip Bayless’ overall aggressive style led to many dust-ups at Fox Sports and is likely the sole reason he is gone from the network.

That includes the tweet he sent out about Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin having a health emergency on the field and having his heart stop, which caused Shannon Sharpe to get so upset that he skipped the next broadcast.

Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless often clashed on “Undisputed,” but they eventually made amends. However, one personal shot from Bayless mentioning Sharpe being jealous of Tom Brady got out of hand, and soon, Sharpe would exit the network and head to ESPN.

The 72-year-old Bayless first rose to national prominence as one of the faces of the daily ESPN debate show First Take, which saw him debate Stephen A. Smith from 2004 to 2016.

Once he went to Fox Sports, he found lightning in a bottle when he was paired with Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens legend and Pro Football Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe.

However, his style of arguing led to them breaking up.

Undisputed never recovered in the ratings department.
