Everyone on social media is having a field day after former Raiders head coach Jon Gruden was spotted wearing full Chiefs gear at the Kansas City Chiefs practice this week.
The Super Bowl-winning head coach has not been associated with an NFL team since he resigned after week five during the 2021 season.
Many have speculated that Gruden could possibly be returning to a head coaching job, as he was even seen talking to head coach Andy Reid for an extended period of time.
Even though he didn’t end on a positive note in 2021, many fans believe he still has many good coaching years left in the tank, but some are opposed to the idea.
“Need this man back in the NFL,” said one commenter
“Bring him on the staff…. Instant slap to Faider Nation….. Knock on wood if ya with me,” said another
“Oh hell nahh. He just burned his once a raider always a raider,” a third said.
Of course just because he is at practice doesn’t mean that he will for sure become a part of the Chiefs coaching staff.
Jon Gruden Still In Legal Battle With NFL
Recently, it was revealed that Gruden had asked the Nevada Supreme Court to revisit their decision to throw out a lawsuit that claimed Roger Goodell was behind the emails that surfaced in 2021 involving Gruden that involved racism, sexism and homophobia which forced him to resign from his head coaching position.
The Associated Press reported that an NFL spokesperson and Gruden’s attorneys refused to comment on the situation.
As of now, it seems unlikely anything will come out of the current situation between the NFL and Gruden.
