Shannen Doherty passed away on July 13, 2024
Shannen Doherty spent the last months of her life divorcing her husband, signing the final papers on the day before her death, but it seems that her struggle is continuing from beyond the grave.
The Charmed actor’s estate has alleged this week that her ex-husband, Kurt Iswarienko, has not adhered to several conditions of the divorce settlement that was signed before Doherty passed away in July of last year.
One of the major conditions included the sale of Doherty’s $1.5 million home in Dallas, Texas, the proceeds of which would be split among her estate. However, the late actor’s attorneys claim that he has ‘refused to list’ the home.
This is just one way that photographer Iswarienko is alleged to have failed to meet his ‘monetary obligations’ to Doherty’s estate in the wake of her death at age 53, according to court filings seen by People.

The filings allege that Iswarienko is living full-time in Doherty’s home in Dripping Springs, something inferred by his attorney, Harlee M. Gasmer, when he withdrew from the case, as he gave the 90210 star’s property as his client’s last known address.
It’s alleged that he has also ‘refused to return [Doherty’s] items of personal property’.
Iswarienko was also ordered to ‘produce his inventory’ of pictures of Doherty, something he was required to do by September 2024, handing over all copies. The latest court documents state that he is ‘now 14 months delinquent’.
The pair married in 2011 and the relationship became Doherty’s longest, but in 2023 she began divorce proceedings.

This was just a few years after the actor discovered that her breast cancer, which she had first been diagnosed with in 2015 and had gone into remission in 2017, had returned and was at stage 4.
At the time of their divorce proceedings, Doherty claimed that her ex was dragging out the process.
She said in a court filing: “It is simply not right that Kurt be permitted to prolong our divorce in hopes that I die before he is required to pay me while he continues to live his life and shirk his responsibilities to his dying wife of more than 11 years.”
Now her estate alleges that he has failed to fulfil several conditions of the settlement, one of which was to buy out her share of a Mooney M-20 plane at a cost of $100,000.
Iswarienko did carry out this sale, however, estate lawyers say he ‘unilaterally withheld $50,274’ and has yet to make any further payments.
