Jimmy Butler has been a critical player for the Miami Heat since joining the team in 2019. The six-time NBA All-Star has achieved several milestones and made two finals appearances with the Heat. While he has been remarkable on the basketball court, a professional poker player considers him to be the worst poker player. During a recent appearance on the Hustler Casino Live Poker Show, producer Nick Vertucci shared a story about how Jimmy Butler, who was recently rumored to be traded to a Western Conference team, was a terrible person to play poker with.
“Jimmy Butler was the worst to play poker with, such a terrible human being to everybody,” Vertucci said while playing poker.

American professional mixed martial arts ring announcer Bruce Buffer was also present at the table playing poker. He also gave his opinion on Butler’s poker skills by saying, “He wasn’t a real poker player, I’ll tell you that much.”
The Dispute Between Vertucci and Butler: What Happened?
Upon appearing on the Hustler Casino Live Poker Show on 23 June, Butler played Poker with several sports stars, including Brazilian professional footballer Neymar. However, Butler didn’t start playing Poker until Neymar arrived, which irritated Vertucci. Butler wanted to sit next to Neymar, which led the professional poker player to move his chair.
During the game, Butler became frustrated as he was not aware of some of the rules. He eventually stood up, expressed his frustration with the game, and attempted to leave the show. Despite this, Vertucci maintained his composure and put his arm around Butler’s shoulder in an attempt to calm him down. But before he left, Butler asked for his money back.
Butler sustained an MCL sprain during the play-in tournament against the Philadelphia 76ers. It will be exciting to see his performance after his recovery next season.
