Simone Biles stepped out to watch her husband, Jonathan Owens, take on the Cincinnati Bengals in a preseason NFL game on Saturday.

Owens, who is heading into his first season with the Chicago Bears after a one-year stint with the Green Bay Packers, is back with the team after jetting to France to support his wife at the Olympics.

Unsurprisingly, she showed up for him this weekend, but fans were shocked to see what she was wearing.

The gymnast controversially wore a jacket bearing the Packers logo, which has generated many negative comments on social media. But that wasn’t all. Biles was also spotted in a walking boot as she came in.

This was the cause of plenty of buzz as well.

“7-time Olympic Gold Medalist Simone Biles is HERE (in a walking boot)!”

“Simone Biles is here for the Bears-Bengals preseason game… and she’s still in a walking boot from her Olympics injury”

“Simone Biles at the bears game today sporting a walking boot on her left foot,” one account noted.

“Soldier Field’s turf is so bad, it landed Simone Biles in a walking boot. SMH,” someone else joked.

Simone Biles Hurt Her Calf During The Olympics

Biles has been dealing with a calf injury for a while – Soldier Field is not to blame. She got hurt at the games in Paris but is expected to be on an upcoming tour and has revealed she’s only wearing the boot to avoid setbacks.

“We’re resting up as much as possible,” she told NBC’s Hoda Kotb after her Olympic stint. “We have tour in a couple weeks. So, I’m just going to rest and heal.”

She also spoke to the network’s Mike Tirico, insisting the boot was precautionary.

“Calf is good,” she said. “It’s just precautionary, making sure, because we still have a tour after this to heal up and all of that stuff. So, just a little bit of soreness.”
