Many people find the Paralympics extremely inspiring. We see people who have faced adversity head-on and excelled despite it. That exact statement could be said for Sheetal Devi, an archer from India competing without arms.
By using her foot to hold and aim her bow, she delivered almost a perfect bullseye, which made for an extremely impressive feat.

Social media could not get enough of Devi for showing so much skill despite her challenges.
“They are so Brave ParaOlympians are the true embodiment of courage and determination. They are inspiring us all. Thankyou for showing the world that greatness Knows no bounds. Respect,” one comment said.
“Their character and resilience are enviable and commendable. I feel humbled by their strength in the face of adversity. Amazing,” another said about Devi.
“It’s truly impressive to see people like this do extraordinary things . When I see things like this I have no choice than to be very grateful,” said a third.

Sheetal Devi Competed In Her First Paralympic Games
Devi already has some very impressive achievements, which include the Best Youth Athlete of the Year award from the Asian Paralympic Committee in 2023 and the Arjuna Award for India.
However, at 17 years old, this was her first time competing in the Paralympics. She was the youngest woman to compete in the women’s para archery games at the 2024 Paralympics.
Despite not winning a medal this year Devi will likely be back in 2028 for the Summer Paralympics in Los Angeles.
