Not many people predicted that the USC Trojans would defeat the LSU Tigers in their season opener at a neutral site, but that is exactly what happened on Sunday night.
Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers kicked off their 2024 season Sunday night by losing to USC, 27-20.
LSU, which entered the game ranked No. 13 in the country, tied it up late in the fourth quarter, but their defense let them down as USC would then drive down the field and score the game-winning touchdown with eight seconds left.
Miller Moss, who replaced No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams, made a name for himself on this night with that drive. He helped the 23rd-ranked Trojans win 27-20 over No. 13 LSU in Las Vegas on Sunday night.
After the game, the trolling truly began, as USC players could be seen mocking the Tigers by doing their signature dance to the song “Get the Gat.”

The Tigers can get back on track next week as they are served a layup when they face off against Nicholls, while the Trojans will head home to face Utah State.
LSU Head Coach Brian Kelly Throws Tantrum After Loss to USC
Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers kicked off their 2024 season Sunday night by losing to USC, 27-20.
The two teams delivered to millions watching a playoff-worthy performance, with a championship vibe. It was just unfortunate that one of them had to lose.
After suffering yet another painful season-opening loss, LSU coach Brian Kelly couldn’t contain his frustration as he blew a head gasket when speaking to reporters.
In his postgame press conference following Sunday’s 27-20 defeat, Kelly made his point by pounding his fist down on the table so hard it nearly knocked over his water bottle.
“We’re sitting here again … we’re sitting here again,” Kelly said, “talking about the same things, about not finishing when you have an opponent in a position to put ’em away.”
"I'm not doing a good enough job as a coach … it's unacceptable for us not to have found a way to win this football game."

Kelly also made it clear that he was this displeased with his team for the first time in his three years as LSU head coach.
“I’m so angry about it that I’ve got to do something about it. I’m not doing a good enough job as a coach,” Kelly said. “I’ve got to coach ’em better because it’s unacceptable for us not to have found a way to win this football game. It’s ridiculous.”
