Lions coach Dan Campbell said last week that his family had to move because people found out their address, and now we are finding out how that happened.

New information on the security concerns that prompted Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell and his family to sell their home in Bloomfield Township states it started at his daughter’s school.

Campbell’s home address was reportedly leaked by his daughter’s classmate on social media earlier this year, and that gave way to harassment and unwanted visitors.

According to police reports obtained by the Detroit Free Press, law enforcement had to intervene in four separate incidents in late 2023 and early 2024 due to unwanted people showing up at his home.

One incident occurred after the Lions lost to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 17 of the 2023 season when an upset fan sent contractors to the Campbell’s home.

Another incident occurred following the Lions’ loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC championship game, when fans began showing up outside his home.

Dan Campbell and his wife were in California for the game while only their daughter and her boyfriend were home at the time.

Nobody entered the property, but it got so disturbing that the boyfriend went to his car and flashed his lights to try to get people to leave.

Once it got out of hand, Campbell informed his daughter to leave the house with her boyfriend.

How Did Dan Campbell And His Address Get Leaked?

Dan Campbell’s home address was publicly leaked by his daughter’s classmate earlier this year.

According to the Free Press, authorities traced it back to the classmate leaking it on Snapchat after being frustrated with the coach’s on-field decisions.

In addition to leaking the address, the classmate also wrote in the post, “Dumb f*** trying to go for it.”

Unfortunately, police determined that the teenager did not commit a crime.

Dan Campbell and his family are now free from stress after they moved to another undisclosed location.
