Social media is saying the same thing about ESPN analyst Jason Kelce after he offered an on-air apology over the cell phone smashing incident with a heckling fan on Saturday
Jason Kelce was in Happy Valley for the Penn State-Ohio State showdown on Saturday. While he was walking about, a heckling fan came up to Kelce and called his brother Travis a “f****t” for dating Taylor Swift.
Multiple videos went viral of Kelce smashing the fan’s cell phone and asking, “Who’s the f****t now?” A video of the incident is available below, but be warned it contains disturbing language that is NSFW:

During ESPN’s “Monday Night Countdown” program, Jason Kelce broke his silence on the incident and expressed regret over what occurred:
“Listen, I’m not happy with anything that took place. I’m not proud of it. In a heated moment, I chose to greet hate with hate, and I just don’t think that’s a productive thing…In that moment I fell down to a level that I shouldn’t have. Bottom line is, I want to live my life…I try to treat people with common decency and respect…Even though I fell short this week, I’m gonna do that moving forward.”

Fans, however, don’t think that Kelce owed an apology for how he acted towards the fan:
