Kansas City-area homes belonging to Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce were broken into days apart and burglarized in October, and now the FBI is getting involved
The incidents happened ahead of their Oct. 7 game against the New Orleans Saints.
Mahomes’ Belton, Missouri, mansion was broken into on October 6th. The day before, he had been out with Kelce for his 35th birthday.
Less than 48 hours later, Kelce’s Leawood, Kansas mansion was hit shortly after kickoff against the Saints.
TMZ reported that now the FBI is getting involved in the burglaries of the homes of Chiefs stars Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes.
The FBI has been assisting the Cass County Sheriff’s Office to further look into the home burglaries and possibly identify the suspect or suspects involved.
A source told TMZ that the FBI’s involvement in the burglaries would lend credence to the idea that the crimes could involve “organized crime crossing state lines.
They are also investigating break-ins at homes in nearby neighborhoods, which could be part of a bigger crime spree.
What Was Stolen From Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce’s Homes During Burglaries
Investigations have begun over the burglaries last month of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce.
The reported burglaries happened just before and on the day of the Chiefs’ win against the New Orleans Saints last month.
According to the criminal report, there was no forced entry, and “deputies completed an investigation and a report was taken. “
According to a police report, $20,000 cash was taken from Kelce’s home.
There is no word on what was taken from Mahomes’ mansion.
