The highly-anticipated boxing match between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson turned out to be rather disappointing from an entertainment aspect.
Fans hoped for an intense back-and-forth affair between the 58-year-old Mike Tyson and the 27-year-old YouTube star. But it was clear by the fourth round that Paul would be declared the winner, with “Iron Mike” showing almost no stamina or energy over the last half of the fight.
Paul was, as expected, named the winner via unanimous decision after the eight 2-minute rounds. The victory improved his professional boxing record to 11-1, while Tyson will likely retire for good after his humbling defeat to Paul.
The entire internet noticed Mike Tyson biting his glove and thought that was his way of letting Jake Paul know what he was doing during the fight.
The video below shows Mike Tyson biting his gloves.

So that’s why Mike Tyson was biting his glove. So @JakePaul left with both ears and Holyfield could finally have closure #TysonPaul pic.twitter.com/hIPgRRCYw8

Was this their way of “Rigging” the match? Social Media had a lot to say
Riddle me this: in training camp videos, Tyson was a beast! Ducking, weaving, aggressive as hell, & punching like an angry gorilla! Then he enters the ring and slowly plods around the ring, rarely punching & biting his glove? Something just isn’t right!! pic.twitter.com/KFjIIhp89A

After the match, a plethora of disgruntled fans took to X/Twitter and accused the match of being “rigged.”
Mike Tyson gave it his all and fared well for a 58-year-old. But as we all know, father time is undefeated. And Paul used every bit of his superior size, speed and athleticism to his advantage.
Mike Tyson Takes Home A Nice Payday
It hasn’t been revealed exactly how much Tyson was being paid, but USA Today reported that experts believe he would take home around $20 million. Regardless of the match result, that nice payday will set Tyson and his family up nicely.
