Last week, Brittany and Patrick Mahomes announced on Instagram that they are expecting their third child together.
Brittany and Patrick Mahomes, who have been together since high school, tied the knot in 2022. They have a three-year-old daughter, Sterling Skye, and a son, Patrick ‘Bronze’ Lavon, who turns two in November.
Some folks have noticed something interesting following Brittany’s pregnancy announcement: It is possible that she’ll have the child by early next year (January or February), and that could possibly affect Patrick’s preparation for the postseason.
It’s obviously way too early to start worrying about Patrick Mahomes potentially missing time if Brittany gives birth in January or February, but it’s nonetheless something interesting that football fans will follow closely anyway.
For what it’s worth, Mahomes and the Chiefs are set to play in Pittsburgh against the Steelers on Christmas Day. Their regular season campaign ends with a Week 18 tilt against the rival Denver Broncos in Mile High City (time to be announced) on Jan. 5.
The Super Wild Card Weekend round of the postseason will run from Jan. 11 to 13. If the Chiefs were to get the AFC’s only first-round bye, their first playoff game in the Divisional Round would be played on the Jan. 18-19 weekend.
The AFC and NFC Championship Games will be played on Jan. 26, and Super Bowl 59 will be played on Feb. 9 inside the New Orleans Saints’ home venue, the Caesars Superdome.
