Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels suffered an arm injury during Sunday’s Week 2 division battle against the Dallas Cowboys.
The highly unfortunate incident occurred right on the final offensive play of the opening half.
Daniels dropped back to pass on a critical third-down play as the second-quarter game clock rapidly ticked down. Suddenly, a heavy pass rush collapsed the interior pocket, and a defender inadvertently stepped directly on him.
He remained down flat on the turf in extreme pain after the whistle blew to end the half. Consequently, an emergency medical cart quickly drove onto the field to attend to the quarterback.
Unfortunately, it does not appear that Jayden Daniels will be on the field anytime soon this year.

A tight camera angle at AT&T Stadium did what the first-half stats could not. Jayden Daniels stayed down after the final snap before intermission, and the close-up of his left elbow was hard to watch.
The same joint had already been wrecked twice last season, and this might mark the third time in his short career.
Prior to his sudden departure, the star signal-caller accumulated 96 passing yards, one touchdown, and 69 rushing yards. The last thing the team cares about is the outcome of the game. The team is hoping that their young quarterback is not as badly hurt as his elbow looks.
