REPORT: Kendrick Lamar Sets Impressive Milestone Following His Super Bowl 59 Halftime Show Performance

Kendrick Lamar hit an impressive milestone on the back of his performance at the Super Bowl last Sunday.

The Compton rapper headlined the halftime show in New Orleans, giving the Chiefs a much-needed break after what was a disastrous first half against the Eagles.

The performance was polarizing, to say the least. Some people loved it, which was a lot more than could be said for others. In any case, it went on to become the most-watched halftime show in history.

A week later, Lamar has made male soloist history, becoming the first living artist to chart three solo albums in the top 10 on the Billboard 200.

“Kendrick Lamar officially becomes the first living male soloist in history to simultaneously chart three solo albums in the top 10 on the Billboard 200,” Chart Data announced on Sunday.

The 37-year-old is on a legendary run, which coincides with one of the most heated rap feuds in recent memory, as he and Drake went at each other’s throats last year

Meanwhile, the NFL reportedly regrets having selected Kendrick Lamar as this year’s halftime show performer.

While the artist drew the most eyes in Super Bowl history, the league is said to have apologized to Lil Wayne for snubbing him and will look to make changes moving forward.

“We will push for change, as we don’t want to experience this kind of thing next season,” a source was quoted as saying by the U.S. Sun. “The tension linked with Kendrick made us regret giving him the green light. I’m not the only one who thinks this way.”

Jay-Z’s Roc Nation is in charge of the Super Bowl halftime show and has most of the say when it comes to selecting performers. The company recently extended its deal with the NFL, yet things could change if there’s any truth to the above.
