REPORT: Elon Musk Is Officially Done

Elon Musk is planning to step away from his role at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), according to a new bombshell report.

Much of Donald Trump’s second tenure in office has been highlighted by his controversial decision to make the Tesla CEO and SpaceX founder one of the most powerful people in his cabinet. Trump put Musk in charge of the DOGE, which conducted significant layoffs in the federal workforce.

There’s widespread belief, especially among left-wing voters and politicians, that Musk is secretly running the show over Trump behind the scenes. But it looks like Musk’s political influence in the White House is quickly coming to a halt.

According to a report from Rachael Bade of Politico, Trump has told his inner circle that Elon Musk is “stepping back” from politics, including his role at the DOGE:

“President Donald Trump has told his inner circle, including members of his Cabinet, that Elon Musk will be stepping back in the coming weeks from his current role as governing partner, ubiquitous cheerleader and Washington hatchet man.

The president remains pleased with Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency initiative, but both men have decided in recent days that it will soon be time for Musk to return to his businesses and take on a supporting role, according to three Trump insiders who were granted anonymity to describe the evolving relationship.”

Bade heard from one official in the administration that Musk will likely “retain an informal role as an adviser and continue to be an occasional face around the White House grounds,” with another stating that one is “fooling themselves” if they think he’ll completely leave Trump’s circle

Since mid-February, protestors around the world have started the “Tesla Takedown” movement to push back against Musk and his political influence. The protests have been tremendously effective, with Tesla stock and sales have dropped significantly in the new year,.

Elon Musk’s Personal Net Worth Has Taken A Giant Hit

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Musk’s personal net worth has dropped by $110 billion. He’s still the world’s richest person by a country mile, with the BBI estimating his net worth at $323 billion, well ahead of Jeff Bezos (second at $213 billion).

Still, it’s astonishing just how much money Musk has lost in a short period of time. And since money is everything to billionaires like Musk, it’s not overly surprising that he’s leaving politics to focus on his businesses.
