Channing Tatum and ex-wife Jenna Dewan’s exact financial settlement revealed in divorce documents

Tatum and Dewan have been locked in ongoing litigation over the distribution of the Magic Mike film franchise

Financial settlement details surrounding Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan’s divorce have been revealed in legal documents.

The docs, filed on November 26, have revealed details of the settlement between the pair, who first met on the set of Step Up back in 2006.

The pair married in 2009 before welcoming their daughter, Everly, in 2013.

In 2018, Dewan filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. The pair now share custody of Everly, 12.

Over the years, Tatum and Dewan have been locked in ongoing litigation over the distribution of the Magic Mike film franchise.

In April 2024, Dewan’s representative Samantha Spector said that while Dewan had received ‘some’ funds, child support and other assets could not be divided until the questions over the earnings from Magic Mike could be determined.

Dealing with a ‘potential billion-dollar asset’

Dewan’s reps claim she should get a portion of the earnings as the pair were married when the franchise was born.

“The Magic Mike intellectual property and all the proceeds thereon is the elephant in the room,” said Spector at the time.

“We have, for the last couple of years, been trying to meaningfully resolve this case, but every time we do, we get stuck on that issue with Magic Mike.

“We are dealing with a potential billion-dollar asset.”

Tatum disputed this, saying he ‘never denied Petitioner of her share of the community assets or income’.

Tatum’s lawyers say that despite the franchise being started during their marriage, the actor ‘continued to create and develop [it] since separation’ and ‘expended extensive efforts since separation towards the enhancement of the Magic Mike intellectual property and related entities, which [Tatum] contends give rise to his separate property interest therein’.

In newly released documents, PEOPLE report that under the Screen Actors Guild-Producers Pension Plan, both will receive 50 percent of each other’s retirement benefits accrued between 2009-2018.

Discussing his divorce while speaking to Vanity Fair, Tatum previously said: “We fought for it for a really long time, even though we both sort of knew that we had sort of grown apart.”

Following their split, Dewan has been engaged to Steve Kazee since 2020, with the couple also welcoming two children together – son Callum, five and daughter Rhiannon, one.

Meanwhile, Tatum has recently been linked to Inka Williams following his split from Zoë Kravitz, who he dated for two years before popping the question in 2023. They later split in 2024.
