Kansas City — Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, has publicly shared her ongoing struggle with a painful wrist condition that has affected her for more than a year.
The mother of three was diagnosed with De Quervain’s tenosynovitis, commonly referred to as “Mother’s Wrist.” The condition is often triggered by repetitive hand and wrist movements from lifting children combined with hormonal changes associated with pregnancy and postpartum recovery.
In a candid update, Brittany admitted she initially ignored the discomfort, hoping it would resolve on its own. Instead, the pain intensified over time. She has since sought medical attention and now manages the condition with a wrist brace.
Her openness about the health challenge comes as her husband, Patrick Mahomes, continues his own rehabilitation from a torn ACL. The star quarterback is working toward a full recovery in time for the 2026 NFL season.
Brittany has used her platform to highlight the physical toll of motherhood, encouraging others facing similar issues not to delay seeking help. Fans have responded with an outpouring of support for the couple as they navigate their respective recoveries.
