The Las Vegas Raiders have signed a new quarterback while fans continue to guess who their starter will be for the upcoming 2024 season. Nathan Peterman is returning to the franchise after spending four seasons from 2018-21, making things even more interesting amid the uncertainty.
Peterman is heading into his eighth NFL season.
The team announced the deal via their official website, noting that the QB is returning after a stint with the New Orleans Saints, which came on the back of a two-year spell with the Chicago Bears.
The veteran has made five career starts in 15 appearances, with 712 yards and four touchdowns to his name, having completed 85/160 passes.
He played five games with the Bears over the two years, starting one and recording 139 yards on 14/25 passing.
The 30-year-old joined the Raiders practice squad in December 2018 and remained with the organization for four years, playing two regular season games.

Nathan Peterman Was A Standout In College
Nathan Peterman finished his college career at Pittsburgh after a transfer from Tennessee. He played 26 games with the Panthers, completing 378 of his 619 attempts for a total of 5,142 yards and 47 touchdowns.
He was the captain of the highest-scoring offense in school history, with the program scoring 532 total points.
Peterman was originally selected by the Buffalo Bills in 2017, coming into the NFL as a fifth-round pick. He stuck around for two seasons, playing eight games and starting half of them.
The team has also revealed having waived Keelan Doss. The wide receiver will be placed on the Reserve/Injured list if he clears waivers.
