The Green Bay Packers have received significant news on Jordan Love’s leg injury.
Jordan Love was injured during the Packers’ final drive in Friday night’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles in São Paulo, Brazil. He was hit by Josh Sweat and Jalen Carter after delivering a pass to Josh Jacobs, forcing Malik Willis to run the last two plays.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, further tests showed that Love has an MCL sprain and no ACL damage. It’s not a season-ending injury, but Rapoport added that the fifth-year quarterback “should miss some time.”
This is very good news, considering the various possibilities. Jordan Love should miss some time. But this is positive news. https://t.co/MLlvzGzHqs

This is encouraging news for Packers fans, because the injury certainly looked like it could have been a lot worse. Jordan Love was in serious pain, and you naturally can’t help but initially fear the worst when it comes to leg injuries in football.
Jalen Hurts made sure to find Jordan Love after the game.

The field quality at Arena Corinthians was also atrocious, with several players slipping on the surface throughout the game. At any rate, the Packers avoided the worst-case scenario and will hopefully have Jordan Love back in short time.
Willis was sacked on the game’s final play before he could attempt a Hail Mary, securing the Eagles’ 34-29 victory. Willis is the only other quarterback on Green Bay’s depth chart, having come over via trade with the Tennessee Titans before the roster cut deadline.
The Packers return home next Sunday to host Anthony Richardson and the Indianapolis Colts at Lambeau Field next Sunday.
Jordan Love Is Looking To Build Off Breakout Year
Love was awarded a four-year contract extension worth $220 million following his breakout season in 2023. The 2020 first-round pick completed 64.2 percent of pass attempts for 4,159 yards and, 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
Expectations are much higher for the Packers this season after stunning the league with a playoff appearance and blowout win over the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card Round last year. We’ll see if they can hang in the race with Love out for some time.
