During Thursday Night Football, the Miami Dolphins suffered a brutal loss at the hands of the Buffalo Bills with a final score of 10-31. However, the worst news was that Tua suffered his third concussion in just 24 months.

It’s the kind of injury that could cause retirement for the 26-year-old. Now, though, in an act that shows true compassion, The Tua Foundation received over $16,000 in donations just hours after the injury.

What is even more inspiring is that reports indicate that a lot of those donations came from fans of the Bills.

“And the Bills mafia stepping up big time after Tua Tagovailoa suffered another concussion on Thursday night. The Tua Foundation telling us they’ve raised more than $16,000 since last night,” Good Morning Football reported.

People on social media were quick to praise the Bills’ fanbase for their incredible deed:

Of course, the Bills and Dolphins are both teams in the AFC East, and there is certainly some bad blood between the two fanbases, but that was able to be put aside to support the quarterback in a very scary situation.

The Dolphins have announced they will continue with Skylar Thompson as the starting quarterback, meaning Tagovailoa will at least miss Week 3.

Tua Tagovailoa Is Urged To Contemplate Retirement By Former Players

A third concussion is a major injury for Tua, and some former players, including Dez Bryant and Shannon Sharpe, have voiced their opinions that he should not contemplate retirement.

If Tua did decide this injury was enough for him to retire, there would be many fans sad about it, but his health is much more important than anything.

He recently signed a new four-year $212 million deal, which has $167 million of that guaranteed. No matter what, money won’t be an issue if he does walk away from the game.
