Jason Kelce picked a side a long time ago when faced with the possibility of his brother Travis playing the team he spent his entire 13-year NFL career with.
The Kansas City Chiefs will play the Philadelphia Eagles in a Super Bowl rematch next month after the sides won their respective conference championships on Sunday.
Jason, who was still with the Eagles when they faced KC in the big game two years ago, will be watching on from the sidelines following his retirement last year, but he will be heavily invested.
Fans won’t have to guess who he will support when the teams clash on February 9, as he made it clear where he stands almost a year ago.
The brothers were speaking on their ‘New Heights’ podcast last March when Jason said he would root for his former team if they met the Chiefs in the Super Bowl again.
“I will root for the Eagles of course because I will always be an Eagle first and foremost,” he said, having paraded around as the biggest Chiefs fan when KC played the San Francisco 49ers at Super Bowl 58.

“I will still root for Travis to have a good game because he’s my brother,” he continued. “But I will definitely be cheering on the Eagles in this scenario.”
Travis Kelce Was Not Happy With Jason Kelce’s Feelings On A Potential Eagles-Chiefs Clash
Travis wasn’t happy with the idea of his brother rooting for another team. “Bulls**t,” he was heard muttering, before saying, “Well good luck to your Eagles.”
The Chiefs tight end is looking to make history, with the chance for a three-peat on the line. But his brother will be hoping the Eagles can prevent that from happening after what was a heartbreaking loss two years ago.
