A new video has emerged of the horrifying collision between an American Airlines passenger plane and Black Hawk military helicopter over the Potomac River near Washington’s Reagan International Airport.
At around 9:00 p.m. EST, an American Airlines passenger plane carrying 64 people collided midair with an Army Black Hawk helicopter that was holding three soldiers. The American Airlines plane was flying from Wichita, Kansas.
CNN reports that multiple fatalities were confirmed by a law enforcement source. The network been informed from sources that the plane is in pieces.

Following the accident, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grounded flights at the airport, though terminals remained open. The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the accident.
