Taylor Swift wants nothing to do with what is happening with Blake Lively
The pop star is reportedly stepping away from her friendship with the Gossip Girl alum amid her lawsuit and legal battle against It Ends With Us costar Justin Baldoni.
The 35-year-old has been thrust into the lawsuit after Justin Baldoni claimed his costar used Swift to intimidate him at a meeting with her husband, Ryan Reynolds, about edits she had made to a rooftop scene in their film It Ends with Us.
In his $400 million lawsuit, Baldoni said Taylor Swift showed up and made him feel like he ‘needed to comply with Blake’s direction for the script.’
Further on in the lawsuit, Lively reportedly appeared to threaten him in a series of texts where she referred to herself as the character Khaleesi from the famous Game of Thrones and referred to her husband and best friend as her “dragons.”
Because of this, an insider reported to Daily Mail, “For the time being, she is taking a step back from Blake because she doesn’t want to get tangled in this more than she already has – which is far more than she ever needed to be.”
Taylor shouldn’t even be involved in this at all. She was only going over to visit Blake and Ryan with the understanding that the meeting would be over
A second source told them that Taylor Swift“hates” that Lively mentioned her during this feud.
“Taylor has politely backed away from it all. She is conscious of her own image and hates that she was even mentioned,” Daily Mail reported.
Don’t Expect Taylor Swift To Speak Out On The Blake Lively Situation
Taylor Swift, the billionaire pop star, has many things to celebrate, but now she has been thrust into the middle of a lawsuit involving her best friend, Blake Lively.
Justin Baldoni claims Swift was involved in backing Blake Lively’s vision for It Ends With Us when he resisted some rewrites.
Now that Swift is reportedly backing off her friendship, you shouldn’t expect the pop star to speak out on anything publicly.
In the meantime, Swift is getting set to watch her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, at the Super Bowl.
