Las Vegas Raiders superstar defensive end Maxx Crosby has social media buzzing after dropping a fascinating hint on X/Twitter about a potential blockbuster trade to an NFC heavyweight.
Maxx Crosby has been the subject of trade rumors since the Raiders’ 2024 season concluded, though the 27-year-old hasn’t at all indicated that he’d like to be moved. Still, one can only think that new GM John Spytek and head coach Pete Carroll would at least listen to enticing offers on the four-time Pro Bowler.
On Monday evening, Crosby sent social media into a frenzy by posting an X message that said, “Life Is Beautiful,” with Eagles and gem stone emojis. Naturally, fans think Crosby is hinting at a move to the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles:
Before Super Bowl 59 kicked off, NFL Network insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported that Maxx Crosby’s future in Sin City was “up in the air.” Crosby has two seasons remaining on the four-year, $94 million extension he signed with Vegas in 2022.
Unless Spytek gets an offer he can’t refuse, it’s hard to imagine the Raiders moving on from their franchise star. With Carroll and minority owner Tom Brady here to help Mark Davis, the Raiders are in a good position to make win-now moves. Trading Crosby wouldn’t do anything to help them in the short term.
Despite missing five games in 2024, Crosby finished with 7.5 sacks and five pass breakups. For his career, Crosby has 59.5 sacks, 23 pass breakups and nine forced fumbles.
Maxx Crosby Would Cost A Fortune On Trade Market

Seeing what 27-year-old Khalil Mack cost the Chicago Bears in 2018, it’s safe to assume that Crosby would net the Raiders 2-3 early-round picks in a trade. Depending on the team, Crosby could even get Spytek two first-round selections.
Players of Crosby’s caliber don’t grow on trees, and he could very well be the final piece for several teams (the Buffalo Bills, Green Bay Packers, Baltimore Ravens, Detroit Lions and Cincinnati Bengals come to mind) to complete a championship puzzle.
