Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce showed up to practice this weekend sporting a brand new look.
Travis Kelce usually dons a full beard, but he decided to shake things up ahead of training camp. On Sunday morning, the Chiefs posted a photo of their star tight end sporting the so-called “killa stache.”
Have a look for yourself:
Let’s just go ahead and guess that Taylor Swift approves of the new look?
The 34-year-old Kelce has spent a good chunk of his offseason traveling with Swift to attend her concerts. Earlier this month, Travis and older brother Jason Kelce announced that their popular “New Heights” podcast is going on a hiatus.
Now it’s back to work for Travis Kelce and the Chiefs, who aim to become the first team in NFL history to complete a Super Bowl three-peat. Last year’s overtime win over the San Francisco 49ers made Kansas City the first team to win back-to-back championships since the 2003 and ’04 New England Patriots.
Kelce missed two games last season but still finished with 93 receptions for 984 yards and five touchdowns. In the postseason, he added 32 receptions for 355 yards and three touchdowns.
Travis Kelce also surpassed Jerry Rice as the all-time postseason receptions leader. Rice had 151 during his two-decade-long career. Kelce has 165 playoff catches heading into the 2024 season.
Kansas City hosts Lamar Jackson’s Baltimore Ravens in the NFL KIckoff Game on Sept. 5.
Travis Kelce & Chiefs Offense Should Be Even Better In 2024
The Chiefs offense struggled throughout the entirety of the 2023 regular season. Even in the postseason, Patrick Mahomes and company did not play up to their usual standards.
And yet, Kansas City still repeated as Super Bowl champions. Throw in newcomers Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown and rookie wideout Xavier Worthy (Kansas City’s first-round pick), and you have an offense capable of re-emerging as football’s best in 2024.
