NFL fans are coming together to offer prayers and messages of support for Baltimore Ravens Joe D’Alessandris after the team announced that he’ll be stepping away to deal with an illness.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Baltimore Ravens announced that Joe D’Alessandris went to the hospital over the weekend to have “an acute illness” treated. The Ravens added that he’ll be away for the team to undergo “treatment for an extended period of time,”

Per Ryan Mink of the Baltimore Ravens’ team website, head coach John Harbaugh has hired George Warhop as his new offensive line coach with D’Alessandris out. Warhop has nearly three decades of offensive line coaching experience in the NCAA and NFL, most recently holding the o-line coaching role for the Houston Texans in 2022.

D’Alessandris, who turned 70 in April, has been Baltimore’s offensive line coach since 2017. He previously held that role for the San Diego Chargers (2013 to 2015) and Buffalo Bills (2010 to 2012).
Under his guidance, the Baltimore Ravens have been one of football’s top rushing teams. Quarterback Lamar Jackson has won two MVP awards (2019 and 2023) and has rushed for over 1,000 yards twice.
